getting better

this one had a steady rock in the beginning and end. it got kind of crazy in the middle but came back with my favorite groove you had going at 1:04 the hi hat/cymbals are good and not to crazy for me with good mastering at that part. i get what you meant about the spacey feel. great sound effects and fills.

madflex, stability

i got to say gas did great and definitely held his weight. he stayed consistently rhyming getting more intense throughout the track. it was like madflex started on fire with a rock solid first verse and kinda eased up on the second verse, like not as much clever written lines as in the first one.

that being said, flex's spitting is just finesse and in my opinion delivery and cadence is at least 50% or more of rapping. i dont care too much about what the lyricists are saying cause i dont always agree with what their saying, (it is a battle i guess) but their skill and creativity is what im judging. that makes flex the winner to me by having content and delivery.

gas is very intelligent and creative in his lyrics, but i think flex matches and surpasses him in this track.

madflex, more defined

cynic is dope and i though he was gonna take it to the end. but madflex really flipped everything over in the past two rounds hes been having incredibly tight breath control and very clear and precise syllables, along with vicious clever lyrics.

i have to say cynic did awesome but listening to them back and forth , madflex brought it harder with charisma, and lyric structure. i think cynic is better at writing nice smooth verses that are easy to understand, but in the lens of a rap battle madflex was bringing heat. he had very dense lyrics and practically no filler. overall monster battle, just what i was waiting for

gasmasq, more effort in lyrics

i have to say i love self's voice and his delivery. he's very clear and he just mashes with the beat. but gasmasq was very clearly putting alot of effort into clever punches and flips, like how he called out how self's uses "kinda" alot and other stuff. i think gasmasq has a bit of an akward flow to me, as in he puts rhymes where i wouldnt want to hear em, but he kept it pretty tight this round and it was refreshing to hear a different pattern of rhyming. overall gasmaq impressed me with this comp from all the battles hes been in hes gotten better and he won me over cause at first i wasnt diggin him.

i think gasmasq put more work in on lyrics, if self had focused more on flipping disses and personals while keeping his monster charisma, he wouldve taken it. dope track

hey sick

pretty dope man, i like how you dont stop rhyming and keep it going, its trippy like spm or those guys, you pull it off. two different sounding voices but rocking the beat the same way. the last verses is not as tight but thats all good, great track and content. props

Thanks alot, man. Your review is very much appreciated.
During recording, I had alot of trouble trying to keep my breathing under control and I'm glad to see some think I pulled it off :)

yo gunner. sick flip i always though the theme was hard as hell, and u made it harder. this thing reeks with funk. lumbering rhythm like a clumsy monster.

yes sir! thanks for the shout out on epitomes track - needless to say, GDSK got the freshest style up here

madflex,came with it

glitch started off hot and i was like o shit. then madflex came in and raised the bar way the hell up there. glitch almost matched in in his second verse and then it was as if madlfex was holding back the whole time and exploded, like an anime fight.

madlfex definitely improved not only on his mic quality, but just overall clarity of words and precise hits on the beat. that paired up with A grade lyrics make him a perfect contender for the semifinals. cynic better watch out if madlex has anything like this in store for next round.

cynic, by an inch

very close battle. i was gonna vote for overtime but i think this battle is enough for me to decide. i agree cynic did not finish as strong as he started, but taking lyrical content AND how the content was delivered into consideration, i vote for cynic.
nimbus had a very fast and complex cadence but i think the fast lines hurt his verse in that it made him harder to understand and feel lacking in energy. im not talking about how his verses were more quiet, i mean emphasizing syllables and energy. cynic to me just had more energy and matched his lyrical quality in the first verse at least.
maybe cynic got cocky in the second verse and slowed down, (that's what it felt like) but his energy and charisma was maintained even though he wasn't throwing in fast syllables. nimbus definitely had me second guessing my vote with his 2nd verse, very tightly packed rhymes through the whole verse and more energy than his 1st. but after listening to the whole track a couple of times, i just think cynic has a more developed and calculating verse structure. nimbus's writing seems stream-of-consciousness, like as much lines as he could fit into his time, while cynic seemed to plan where he was gonna say things, and how he was gonna say them. props to both heavyweights but i think cynic got it by that much. great track
